Fishy Friday #1

Hello sweethearts,
It is a wonderfully nice day today.  80 degrees in February is unheard of here! It's day 3 of not being a hoarder and I'm already failing! While I have not recently bought anything, I have not managed to give away my things well.  The winner of day 1 Rachel L.  Winner of day 2/day 3 part 1 was Bryanne R.  I'm spreading them out so the official Day 3 giveaway will be tweeted at 3pm.

Since I am posting every Friday for recipes, please comment and let me know what you want me to talk about on here! Otherwise, pretty drab and I'm running out of gold material.

As promised, here is a fish recipe for this first Friday of Lent:
spiced salmon
2 salmon fillets
Salt and pepper
1 tbsp fresh thyme
¼ teaspoon ginger
2 pinches cayenne pepper
2 pinches of cumin
2-3 garlic cloves
Olive oil—enough to make paste

Heat grill to medium.  In a small bowl crush garlic cloves.  Add remaining spices, and add enough olive oil t make a paste—a couple tbsp typically.  Place the salmon fillets skin down on a large sheet of foil.  Fold the sides up on the foil to make a foil tray.  Rub the spice mixture on top of the salmon fillets and place the foil tray on the bottom rack of the grill.  Cover the salmon loosely with more foil and close the grill.  Cook about ten minutes or until the salmon can be flaked with a fork.  Be careful because all girls cook differently, and all salmon fillets are different

Sure beats this for lunch and dinner every week:
